"Taken once a day, this collection of all-natural vitamens will provide you with 100% (one-hundo-percent) the recommended daily value of nearly everything that the average 13 year old girl needs to grow up to be a real man."
I wanted to work with this band the second I met them, they had one poorly recorded demo and were a bunch of local kids that I as a freshman at RIT had no concept of, weirdo punks who weren't afraid to throw all their influences at the wall to see what stuck. Several years later after I came across more recordings previously unknown to me, so we tracked down the trio and insisted we release this tape. Turns out that in their seeming absence the members of the band had remained extremely busy, churning out music in different configurations in bands like Flip Shit, The Televisionaries, Beastman, Aweful Kanawful, The Temptators and more. While their other projects leaned more hardcore or more retro, King Vitamin is a unique weirdo of a beast. Jagged, angular, gripping, unrelenting, it is a thing of beauty, as if Modest Mouse's "Sad Sappy Suckers" was inspired by it despite Multi-Vitamins coming out many many years later.
"The debut album by Rochester, NY rock wizards King Vitamin is a straight up thing of beauty. Hitting that moment when punk got truly weird, King Vitamin unleash 13 songs that rival Chemicals Made of Dirt, La Peste, Dancing Cigarettes, The Embarrassment, or the Ralph Records back catalog. These guys are the real deal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED." -- City of Quality Records
