Born out of near-daily practices and jams by then-roommates Ben and Atom (Cottage Jefferson, Dangerbyrd), Routine Involvements make considerable noise for a duo. Future Days is a testament to their versatility, a split between songs fronted by each of them, ranging from straight ahead indie rockers to instrumental guitar jam odysseys to more shoegaze indebted rockers. Joined by bassist Jim Hill (Painted Zeros, Slight, Cottage Jefferson) to fill out the low end on this release, the duo-turned-trio add a new dimension to their already dynamic and exciting songs.
"...Routine Involvements new tape, Future Days, is some of the best stuff we’ve heard out of Buffalo’s neighbor to the Northeast in quite some time.
RI take cues from all kinds of guitar-rock greats over the six songs on Future Days. Fan of Weezer? Television? Sunny Day Real Estate? Big Star? You’ll find something to like." -- buffaBLOG
