Utica's Comfy and Rochester's Skirts have been friends since the early days of Dadstache. Likeminded in a love of rock 'n' roll (especially They Might Be Giants, interestingly enough) and united by two great songwriters, there are common threads that run between two seemingly very different outputs. Skirts is more indebted to surf and Bollywood sounds, and Comfy draws more from punk, power pop and earnest twee-leaning sounds, but it's apparent that the attitudes and sentiments behind both match up on a deeper level.

"Of the project as a whole, both bands emphasized that the project was “a natural progression,” and that they couldn’t avoid making music with a group of people so meaningful to them. Beyond its descriptive content, this EP is a recording of a group of people taking their lives seriously at a specific time and place. “I suppose,” writes Benincasa, “in a way, this EP is a snapshot of being 20 years old.”" -- Impose Magazine
