Nothing Needs To Happen
Imagine flying down the highway, windows down, Replacements cranked as loud as the stereo can manage, nothing but the open road and huge skies ahead of you. A deep breath and the feeling of freedom in the life that surrounds you. That's what Secret Pizza feels like. Clever hooks from guitarist Tim Avery mix with stadium sized vocal performances from drummer Giana Caliolo (Buckets, Pony Hand) and guitarist Phil Shaw, glued together by Matt DeWaters' melodic basslines. One of the finest indie punk bands to grace us with but a few songs and many incredible live shows, they draw from both their contemporaries and stalwarts of punk and emo before them.
"Other than these minute pieces of abstract torture that buzz (fuzz?) around my mind as I listen (and inevitably sing along), my judgement is that this record ROCKS and is a JOY to listen to. " -- The BTCV
